Heriot-Watt University Students' Association can provide your company or organisation with fantastic advertising and sponsorship opportunities. With over 7,000 students over both the Edinburgh Campus and the Scottish Borders at Heriot-Watt University and a Freshers intake of approximately 3000 students a year the possibilities for your company are endless. The mix of students at Edinburgh University is exceptional and diverse. There is a large proportion of 18-25 students from all over the UK as well as 20% of students originating from overseas. Your company has the opportunity to create awareness of your product or service to a specific group with tremendous influence and buying power. So why not take this opportunity of letting them know who you are and what you do.

Term-Time Advertising
HWUSA.org Website
The recently re-designed HWUSA.org is Heriot-Watt University Students Association’s website, providing the latest news, event listings, photo galleries and a bespoke student online community portal to our 10,000 students.
Combining a mix of local content as well as external sources (BBC News & Weather Headlines, NUS Scotland and Guardian Education RSS syndications), HWUSA.org maximises it’s in-take of new users as well as encouraging repeat visitors to return with regularly updating content.
HWUSA.org sees on average 2,000 unique visits per week, with over 8,000 page views, 35% of which are of the initial homepage, followed closely by the news section, event listings & photo galleries. Over 80% of hits are from the Edinburgh campus and the UK, proving that HWUSA.org is an invaluable tool for targeting the students of Heriot-Watt effectively.

Poster / Flyer Distribution
With over 1,700 students staying at the Edinburgh campus, we have an amazing captured market with which to distribute your posters / flyers.
Placed in high foot-fall areas around the Halls of Residences you can be sure to have a massive impact on the students of Heriot-Watt.
Summer-Time / Freshers Week Advertising
Freshers' Mailing
As the mailing to all new students is directed to their home address, this also affords you the opportunity to target the parents/guardians, as well as the new students themselves. This mailing goes out at the end of August and includes the Students Association Handbook and information about Freshers' Week. Information in the mailing is of vital interest to new students and is read conscientiously.
Freshers' Welcome Pack
The Freshers' Welcome Pack is placed in every room in Residences. There are approx 2000 rooms between the Edinburgh and Scottish Borders Campuses. The packs are put in the rooms in time for the arrival of students for the 2005 Autumn Term. The majority of students on campus are first years but there are other years as well.
Freshers' Fayre
Each year the Students Association holds a Freshers' Fayre during its Freshers' Week. The Fayre is an ideal opportunity for the many Students Association clubs and societies to recruit new members from the yearly intake of approximately 2500 students. It could also offer you the same opportunity to promote your service/product or to raise your company profile.
If you are interested in reserving a stall at this year's Fayre please complete this form and return it as soon as possible. There is always a great interest in this event and applications will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
Freshers' Week
Each year we welcome approximately 3,000 new students to our campuses to enjoy the ultimate week of fun that is Freshers' Week. Advertising opportunities include event sponsorship and helper sponsorship.
Student Handbook
The Student Handbook is mailed to all new students at the end of August and is available to all current students. It contains comprehensive information on Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders, services offered and operated by the Students Association and the University.
This is an ideal media to advertise your product / service to the students at Heriot-Watt University.
