- Hi. I'm a resit student just going into third year so I had to wait til today to enrol but I can't even get past the first login page as I can'r remember any of my login details. I tried my PC Cal username and clicked "forgot login", and did the same with my registration number but had no luck. I also tried my person number from my student card but it came up with "Security Question is not setup" which I'm pretty sure I did. I'm going to the university as a postgraduate student this September. I'm doubt about each accommodation type offered by the uni. as they do not have photos showing physical appearance of each room type. Can someone here advise me what's the difference between flat and standard room (non-ensuite). Since my budget is tight, which room type do you suggest for, flat or standard room? Thanks for your suggestion!

The flats are seperated. You get a key to the front door, then within your corridor, you have 5 bedrooms that you will also get a key for. Each flat has a shared bathroom and a kitchen/lounge area.
The standard room is exactly that, you get a kitchen to share between 5 of you. No real lounge area, there is a tv lounge for the whole block. There is no seperation like in the flats. I don't know what the rooms are like inside and I don't know what you would specifically be looking for. I know that as an undergrad I wanted to be in the flats, but that might just be me.

Thanks for your answer. It's very helpful for me. One more question regarding the shared bathroom in standard room type, is it shared between group of 5 like the kitchen? Or bathrooms/toilets are shared for the whole block?

In Leonard Horner (standard rooms) there is both a male and female toilet in every corridor. Each corridor has 2 kitchens so every pair of toilets will cover 10 people. Whether the gender split is equal is unlikely though. There is also one shower for the 10 people.

In my halls we had a 2 showers between 5 of us with one toilet ... in addition to this we had sinks with mirrors in the rooms and that worked perfectly fine for me
