If im thinking about transfering to another university closer to home do i have to reapply though UCAS or is there transfer forms?

Is quite awkward I think. Best think is to speak to the university you want to go to instead directly. They'll be able to advise as to weather or not you'll be able to get in or not. With university places being so oversubscribed this year it be difficult to get in.

Also, the second 'or not' is redundant; look up Implicature.

@ the question: There's most probably some paperwork to do, try contacting the academic registry or talk to your mentor (if you have a good one). Out of interest, what year are you in? You won't have to worry about courses being oversubscribed if you're going into 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year (people will have dropped out/failed; bad for them, good for you!).

Hi Jamie,

Time is pushing on so getting in for the upcoming academic year will be increasingly difficult. Mike and Adrian are both right, check out the institution you wish to apply for information, then give their admissions a call (if like HWU, each department/school will have a member of staff dedicated to this).

Also give your mentor/department a call. Similarly either drop in and see us, or give our own Advice and Support Centre a call - 451 5333.

It's hard to give you exac advice without knowing your academic record, and it's this(along with pre-uni qualifications) which other intstutions will look at. It will also depend on your course and the curriculum compatability. Not every institution teaches outcomes in the same order - particularly with 3yr degrees in England.

Anyway, good luck and phone around for that crucial advice.
