Vice-President (SBC)
The executive members of the student association consists of the President and Vice Presidents who take a year out of their studies or a year after they graduate to work with the students association. They work closely with School Officers who continue their studies while working part time for the association.
They’re all here to represent fellow students at the university and wider world while communicating issues that effect us as a student. Becoming a political leader at Heriot-Watt and achieving changes for the better. It’s their job to promote, defend and extend the rights of Heriot-Watt students. They organise campaigns and activities with students to make sure you get the most out of your time while learning, socialising and in society.
All the executives are elected by students by online voting, so watch out in the future for elections and make your opinions count.
The Vice-President (SBC) is an elected full-time paid position and is the leader of the Students Association at the Scottish Borders Campus. The Vice-President (SBC) this year is Caoimhe Sweeney and she is responsible for representing the views of the SBC students to the University management on academic issues and servic3es that the Campus provides. She will also be responsible for creating an interesting and social space in which to run a balanced entertainment programme.
There is a Student Association office at the Borders Campus, it’s through the main union doors and then left down the corridor. So pop in whenever you have a problem or even just to say hi.
