Academic Services
Academic Registry
The student enquiry office for Registry is situated in the Lord Balerno Building. Opening hours are normally 10.00 am to 3.00 pm (NB the hours on the web site may be out of date - the office is not closed at lunchtime.)

Provides support to all international students on campus and also to students who wish to take part in an exchange placement abroad for part of their course. Contact the office for advice and information on: Immigration and Visa extensions; Fees Status; Foundation English Programme Support; General International Student Advice; and Exchange Placements including EU Erasmus Exchange Programmes.

Careers (Advisory Service)
ATM
There are three ATM’s on campus.
- The most popular one is outside the bank in Core because it is the only one that is free!
- There is one in the Students Union which charges £1.50 per withdrawal (free to Alliance and Leicester customers)
- There is a machine to the left of the main entrance to the James Watt which charges £1.75 per withdrawal. This is the only machine available 24 hours per day.

Residences in ascending order of age and luxury!
Midlothian, Linlithgow and Pentland Halls: known as Phase 1 or more affectionately, the Ghetto. A mixture of single and large single rooms. This is were it all happens. Home to 346 lucky residents.
Caddon, Ettrick and Yarrow Flats: Made up of 35 flats most of which consist of a five single rooms grouped round a kitchen/dining/sitting room.
Leonard Horner Hall: 161 single rooms. Nice rooms, nice kitchens. But not en suite.
Robert Bryson Hall: 189 single rooms. Nice rooms. Nice kitchens. All rooms en-suite
George Burnett, Robin Smith, Lord Thomson and Lord Home: 800 rooms. The most recently built residences. All en suite. A bit far out from the centre of campus.
