Great News for Mature Students and Students with Children
28 July 2010
Ridacard prices for children are to be cut and the 16-25 limit on student cards abolished.
Lothian Buses announced today a reduction in child fares and the inclusion of all matriculated students into the Student Ridacard Scheme.
"From 15th August 2010, a Child Dayticket will drop from £2.40 to £2, and ALL Junior Ridacard prices will also be reduced. A weekly Junior Ridacard will be £9, Four-weekly £29 and Annual down to £324. However, for best value, Lothian Buses recommends direct debit payments of only £25 per month.
In addition to bringing down children’s fares, Lothian Buses have changed their Student offering, so that, in addition to pupils at local secondary schools, ALL matriculated students at the ten major Universities and Colleges in their operating area will be able to purchase a Student Ridacard. The long-established upper age limit of 25 is abolished."
